still using 2.0....3.0 was too memory hogging... especially if u had over 5 software opened same time as winamp3...

so have u tried it yet, david?
let me know what u think of it...thanks

i hate wmp9...lol... now...version 6.4 is ok...

Winamp3 sucked so they merged Winamp3 and Winamp 2 (2 + 3 = 5).
Winamp 5 is like Winamp 2, but with support for modern skins (the ones that worked with Winamp3). There is also a better library and other updates.
The best of all is that it takes as much memory as Winamp 2 did (when using classic skins) .

Winamp 5's really cool. Get a simple skin that matches your XP theme and the OctiMax plugin and you're sorted.

Winamp 5 is super cool. the basic skin is very cool + nice colors/themes. also easy on the resources.

3 sucked bigtime.

Theres some problem with iTunes and Winamp, i don't know, David (stilleye) told this.

Yea, but the pro version adds support for ripping and burning -- features I use other programs for anyway.

definitely better than winamp2. i still love that MMD3 skin originally for winamp3; still for me the best skin in existance. and crucually for me, not as heavy as winamp3 was. incidentally, what happened to winamp 4?

WinAmp 5 gold is very cool

A lot of things have been improved after the first v5 leaked. I like the clean new interface. My fav. color theme is 'Varsity'. The others are mostly a pain to the eyes (/me wonders who did them ).

It's very fast and easy to use but still there are some bugs.
