Woot! Slowly working my way up!

-- Update file jooli.kim

I think I can safely say I'm doing better than some of my peers (not school or grade-wise >_<
Couple of days ago I met a person that used to be the CCO (Chief Creative Officer) for Saatchi & Saatchi (one of the biggest advertising agency)!!!!! And that guy was awesome... I never knew he taught at my college, but he's leaving after next semester.
So I asked if he could be a mentor, and he agreed! He's an old dude and he retired from Saatchi & Saatchi last year so, hopefully I can learn alot about traditional advertising and stuff...
Who knows maybe I can work him into advising DZ.net? O.o He's a busy guy but thats awesome...
Another mentor I have is a film director made some award winning stuff in Ireland, and a feature film here, who scored me a job teaching video production...

Who needs school?

So very excited! And I'm getting sophomore status 1/2 a year earlier... WOOT~~ Life is good.

branding is dead? i'm not sure. do not believe one man's thoughts. branding has always been, one way or another and proabably always will be. just maybe not in the current form.

branding won't be dead as long as there are consumers.

The huge downside of Hugh's words is that branding itself isn't dead, but the way branding has worked in the past years is changing. Oh well, read some of his thoughts, he does a better job at explaining it that I do

never believe what you read in a blog..lol (j/k)

anyway...great news jooli...
u will learn so much more than just attending classes...

if he could even spare a few mins a day into advising us, that would be awesome!!
but by just accepting been ur mentor is already a great thing....hope life keeps getting good for all of us!!!

Just wanted to post a link here to Hugh's latest post... I think it has some relevance (and not just because Saatchi's and Saatchi's is in it!)
