Earthquake richter scale 6.2

wow....we just had a 6.2 earthquake here in taiwan...
all buildings were dancing like crazy...

worst one in taiwan was back 2 years ago, sept 21...left thousands homeless for one year...
after that, we been getting quakes every now and then....

are we sinking?????

wow!

thats one of the best things living in the UK - general safety! We never get serious earthquakes, tornadoes, etc.. no poisonous spiders... only one poisonous snake (the adder), which can't really kill you unless you don't see a doctor for about 2 weeks... all in all pretty safe! heh.. the safely makes it really boring too though....

lol....that was good....

chris, for the past 2 years, we have had 3 major earthquakes (leaving 1000s homeless), one major flood (the biggest in history of taiwan), and now one major water shortage (no rains lately)...

still a good place to live not counting those disasters...

what is it with the world today? so many problems...

in England (and presumably surrounding European countries), we have loads of rain - never a shortage, except for the hottest of summers. Yet, with all the technology we've created, we can't manage to transport some of it to countries with major water shortages - and the main reason will be the cost. The world revolves around money, which is just plain greed.

Once, when I was on holiday in Greece, we say the Greek army throwing away hundreds of oranges into the sea. They'd used them during time at sea or something, and now they were back, they were disposing of them. OK, they weren't perhaps of the best quality, but were still quite edible, and high in vitamin C... they could have gone to a third world country or something, where people are dieing due to lack of proper food....

I dunno, things like these really annoy me... and probably a lot of other people too..

chris i'm sure u know this but its not always too easy to give surplus to 3rd world countries because that whole inflation and stuff
the us burns so much food each year because of surplus.. i'm sure other 1st n 2nd world countries do the same
it just cant be given up for free in large amounts
the world runs on economy..
ok... enuff on the global ^^
